a losing battle

Sometimes I get the feeling that people think that being a stay at home mom means that you have eight hours to cook and clean and get things done while your hubby is at work.

Sure, maybe if you didn't have kids . . .

But throw in the five month old that I'm constantly feeding, changing, etc . . . and I'm luck if I get a couple hours to get things done, let alone eight.

I swear, I'm fighting a losing battle here . . .

  1. It is. I NEVER have EVERYTHING done. Some days I have more done than others, but it's like a cycle. I get something done one day, move on to another task the next day, only to have to come back and do the first one again... :P Maybe this is why I'm such a terrible housekeeper. I hate cleaning it, knowing it's gonna be dirty again in a couple days.

But don't lose hope! The more independent the little guy gets, the more you'll be able to get done. And as he gets older, put him to work! Zach LOVES to help me clean! He's gotten to the point where I can tell him to go clean his room and he knows (generally) where everything goes and will pick it up with relatively minimal prompting.

I love you babe! Just do what you can do every day, and don't stress about the rest. It won't matter in Heaven anyway :D

I can't wait for the day when E is old enough to help unload the dishwasher and fold clothes! :)
